Re: 3-way trade rumor - Nets/Mavs/Blazers
The deal has Portland getting Devin Harris
I think a much more logical trade would be Webster + Jack + pick for Harris and ?
I don't see Portland trading Outlaw unless someone takes Darius Miles contract.

Didnt say it was a good reason...Just "A" reason to consider it...
Maybe you dont use Outlaw in that deal, but I think you could try to look and move him for a more defensive minded player who can play the 3 spot for you (someone with a Gerald Wallace/Shawn Marion like effect - you dont run the offense through him but he'll find ways to score and be effective on both ends) or a PG who can run your team (although if it were Devin Harris I would hold off on a trade)...
Because you have Aldridge and Roy pegged as your main offensive options, you have Webster who you want to bank on as your outside spot shooter sometime down the road and is younger than Outlaw, and next year you add Oden to the starting lineup (whom you would like to develop offensively as well), where does Outlaw's shots come from? Plus, his stock is as high as it may ever be and you can get the most for him than at any other time... But again, I dunno if Devin Harris is the right PG for this team...would rather keep Outlaw if that were the case...

Re: 3-way trade rumor - Nets/Mavs/Blazers
I just saw this over at Yahoo sports. I can't believe the Blazers would be willing to part with 2 very good young players in Outlaw and Frye for just Harris. Just dumb IMO.

Re: 3-way trade rumor - Nets/Mavs/Blazers
Face it Dallas doesn't want to pay through the nose for Kidd.
And if Dallas pulls off the table.
Who else is left for Kidd? The Lakers and Nuggets both already dropped out I heard.
Does no one want Mr. Triple Double?
