3-way trade rumor - Nets/Mavs/Blazers
This is what I heard.
Jarrett Jack, Travis Outlaw, Stackhouse to Nets;
DeSagana Diop, Deavan George, cash, and Nets send picks to Blazers
Jason Kidd to Mavs.

Avery loves Stackhouse too much to let him go.
Plus, seems like a bad trade for the blazers.

Travis Outlaw? For Diop and Devean George?
Seriously, I know you like to make funny threads but this one failed miserably.

You're late. Pretty sure this was already shot down.
If I am the Blazers, why the hell would they do this anyway? They get nothing and give up 2 young guys.

Travis Outlaw is the Blazers' best player and a future all-star and 20ppg player. They're trading him for D-League George?

Re: 3-way trade rumor - Nets/Mavs/Blazers
Actually the propose of this thread is to bring up a better deal than this one since Cuban don't want to give up Harris.

The Nets are discussing a complicated three-team scenario with the Mavericks and Blazers in which Kidd would go to Dallas, league sources said.
In return, the Nets would get back young players (Jarrett Jack and Travis Outlaw), expiring contracts (Devean George, DeSagana Diop), Jerry Stackhouse, draft picks and cash. More players, including other Nets, would be involved.

Well, to be fair, the deal would help the Blazers out in terms of helping to define roles for their team. Sure, losing Outlaw would be a huge blow, but then it allows for players like Sergio Rodriguez to have more PT (who Im sure they look to as the PG of the future) and next year it allows Rudy Fernandez to grow into a role when he comes over (become a key bench contributor with solid minutes)...
Plus they get arguably a lotto pick from the Nets...

Re: 3-way trade rumor - Nets/Mavs/Blazers
Outlaw and Jack for Harris? I'm not even sure Harris will be better then Jack.
And per the purpose of the thread, like I've said, if the Mavs don't give up Terry or Harris off the break, there's no reason for the Nets to consider them until the 11th hour. I have a feeling | |
