i don't know why people always say "pau is injury prone, yao is injury prone etc" ... seriously, just because he missed 30 games or so last season, doesn't mean he's injury prone.

here's the math: in the last six seasons, he has played 437 games...

so, 82x6 = 492 games possible

437/492 = he's played 88% of the time
OR
437/6 = 72.888 games out of every 82

i know last year's injury was a broken foot, which is NOT a career ending one.

also note: he's played 39 out of 46 games this year.

the truth is: he's not injury prone, people just exaggerate.

you're not making sense.. in the last 2 years he's been in and out? in 05-06 he played 80/82 games. in 06-07 he played 59 because of his broken foot.

so let me get this straight, he misses 23 games in season with a broken foot, is 27, and he's already passed his prime?

He has been in and out of the lineup for a good year and half now with injuries and had a major foot injury (He has missed 30 games in the last year and half alone). That means he has missed about 23% of his games over the last year and half of play. Before last year, I'd say he wasn't injury prone (Missed about 8% of his games over the first 5 years of his career with no major injury either).

I also never said he was passed his prime, but it is obvious with Kobe on your team, getting nearly 14 shots a game won't happen any more for Gasol. Bynum will also snatch a lot of his rebounds away too. His production will go down, but he is a nice upgrade over Brown.

i think kobe averaged 20 attempts per game before bynum's injury...

if you have been watching laker games, which it seems like you haven't, there are many points in the game where the lakers need someone to score, but hasn't been able to step up.

and a year and half of injuries is enough to say that someone is injury prone? he's missed 7 games this season btw.

23 + 7 = 30. How did you think I got my number? Also a major injury can cause future problems. It has happened before so it might happen again. Gasol is a wait and see.

Any way, Kobe has been scoring more here lately. 46 points in just tonights game.
