Re: Barkley: Duncan is the #1 Power Forward of All-Time.
Duncan solidified his #1 position as the greatest power forward of all time when he won the 2007 championship. Duncan is obviously superior than these 2 defensively, as well.

I think Duncan plays more away from the basket than most centers do. He likes to work out of that high post too much to be strictly a center.

i know he can play the high post, but i usually see him playing the low post. enough to say he's a center.

if he's a center than the NBA owes Lebron James the all-nba first team they gave to Amare last year.

Re: Barkley: Duncan is the #1 Power Forward of All-Time.
Duncan is one of the best big men in nba history. I happen to think of him as a center but if you consider him a power forward he is the best ever. Too many great centers in league history to obviously consider him the best.
However he is one of the best big men in league history period and clearly superior to both malone and barkley.

plenty of centers like to operate out of the high post or have at points of their careers. vlade divac comes to mind.

tim duncan is labeled a power forward, but he plays best as a Center.
amare stoudamire is labeled as a center, but plays best as a Power Forward.

The controversy isn't about Duncan, it's that Charles considers himself better than Karl Malone. It's a tough comparison, and could go either way, all things considered.

Re: Barkley: Duncan is the #1 Power Forward of All-Time.
i'll go with karl. he lasted longer than charles, and went to the finals more than charles did.
charles' only finals appearence was with that stacked phoenix suns team.
karl had to do it with himself anmd stockton + roleplayers

^ I wouldn't agree or disagree, but remember that Malone was paired up with arguably the greatest playmaker in history. Keep those two together and you're always going to be a threat to make the Finals.
