Yep. Duncan gets the nod for me.

I won't argue with Duncan, Sir Charles and the Mailman as the top 3 - in whatever order. But McHale doesn't belong in this conversation. At least not until you've mentioned Pettit and Hayes, in addition to Garnett.

McHale was a better overall player than Karl Malone in my opinion. Yes, Malone had the gaudy numbers, but I think numbers are overrated.
McHale had far superior post moves. He is one of the best post players ever, if not the best. The only guys that come close are Duncan, Kareem, and Hakeem (in my opinion, Shaq and Wilt can't be included because they relied so much on brute force). McHale was also a superior defender than Malone. Additionally, McHale was always clutch. Malone was, of course, not

Re: Barkley: Duncan is the #1 Power Forward of All-Time.
dang, i forgot about KG.
kg is better than both malone and barkley, maybe after tim duncan. KG defends the lane as well as sets the offensive tone for his team. barkley never did that at all, and malone still wasn't as good at doing it.

Yes, McHale had superior post moves. I don't give him much else over Malone, though. Both were actually very good defenders in their prime. Malone was a better passer and rebounder, and ran the floor incredibly well.

Re: Barkley: Duncan is the #1 Power Forward of All-Time.
If Boston wins 2-3 championships with KG on the team, where would KG be ranked in the all time PF list?
It sounds a bit far-fetched, but if Boston wins it this year, you have to like their chances next year as well. The first championship is always the hardest, if the Celtics figure it out this year they will be the favorites to win it next year as well.

Re: Barkley: Duncan is the #1 Power Forward of All-Time.
KG is hard to rank in this discussion. hes multi talented at nearly every 5 positions you can put him in. He may play PF the most but he doesnt just specialize in being a Power Forward.
KG deserves a special place to be discussed with.....

He can't play the guard positions, I thought that topic was beaten to death.
