Re: Wally Z, Delonte West, Ben wallace, Joe smith to cavs
With the acquisition of Delonte West, the Cavs are getting closer and closer to the goal of acquiring all of the players whom Lebron has thrown down vicious dunks on.
If only we could get some of the better ones like Duncan/Dirk/the whole Pistons team...

To all the Cavs fans: Good luck with Ben Wallace. I love him as a player, and I just hate the outcome of Big Ben in Chicago. I hope he turns out better for you guys.

Wally wasn't asked to guard Kobe until everyone else got injured. He's never maintained his offense in the postseason. I can tell you from first hand observation that he's gawdawful under pressure. It's not merely lack of performance, it's the quality of his decision-making that makes him a real menace on the floor. Turnovers, shots blocked as he lumbers into traffic and tosses up soft floaters. No one can turn a close game into a blowout for the other guys faster than Wally Szczerbiak Szczuperstar. My favourite Wally moment (when he was with Boston) was on a last-shot situation, the Celtics trailing by three. Pierce took the pass at the top of the key, drew the defensive coverage, and zipped a pass to Wally in the corner with the nearest defender six feet off. Rather than shooting the trey, Wally decided to drive the baseline, as every defender cleared a lane for Wally to take the harmless dunk/layup, and dribbled the ball off his foot out of bounds booting the game in the process. If looks could kill Pierce would have been tried Wally's murder. As a fan there's nothing that would give me more confidence than seeing Wally suiting up for the other team in a playoff series.

More or less, Danny Ferry has to find his Pau Gasol trade or he's done.

While I would agree, I honestly think you got the exact same type of players in return. But I guess it's worth a shot just to see what turns out. So we'll see.

Re: Wally Z, Delonte West, Ben wallace, Joe smith to cavs
i think they are def. improved, lebron actually some decent talent around him and if guys like newble can actually get time on the court, wally, west and smith can only do better. i dont like wallace though, IMO, to much of a liabilty to play more then 20 mpg at this point in his career

I think Lebron should join San Antonio and win championships by just sitting on the bench.
With a front line of Z, Wallace, Varejao and shooters like Gibson, Wally and Damon Jones, if Lebron is 1/3 of what everybody says he is, Cavs should not lose a game until 2010. I know MJ wouldn't, neither would Magic or Bird, hell, even Kobe wouldn't lose more than a couple of games playing in the east with this lineup.
And you people are still whining?
