Re: Bynum or Oden?
Bynum, no contest.
An equal rebounder and defender to what Oden's suppose to be, but with far more offensive talent, both scoring and passing.
Oden's massively overhyped, Bynum's massively underhyped.

Re: Bynum or Oden?
Oden by a mile. Forget this season, looking ahead anyone would take Oden. Many think Oden has a very good chance to be a dominant center in the league who will lead the Blazers to multiple championships. Bynum will never be that type of dominant player. He might make a few All-Star teams but he's far less likely to be a Hall of Fame player than Oden.

Re: Bynum or Oden?
Hard not to take Bynum here. Oden may very well be better but Bynum is already an All-Star calibre C and is still extremely young. I'll take the already very good known vs. the unknown in this case

Re: Bynum or Oden?
Obviously winning as much as Russell isn't very realistic. Winning as much as Shaq though, that is realistic. A lot of the current power teams in the West will be old by the time the Blazers are ready to make their run. Blazers/Jazz/Hornets is the future top 3 powers in the West.

Well this thread is really unfair to both Bynum and Oden. It's unfair for Oden beause he hasn't had the opportunity yet to show what he can do. And it's unfair for Bynum because he's being compared to someone's potential.
It's really a very silly thread that we'll be better able to answer after we actually see Oden play an NBA game. Even then I think it will take a year or two to really figure it out.

Re: Bynum or Oden?
It's practically impossible for one player to win eleven championships now in the salary-cap and free agency era.

Run this pole again in 2 years. I am a big fan of Bynum, but I think from what we saw of Greg at OSU, he is going to be somthing very special!
