Softest team in the NBA?
Who is it?
I'd have to say, my Toronto Raptors
We can't rebound to save our lifes, defense is mediocore at best and extremely inconsistent. No post game whatsoever. All we do on offense is shoot, shoot, shoot, and shoot some more. If it wasn't for Bosh, we would probably set an all time low for FT attempts.. Hell, we probably still are close.

Re: Softest team in the NBA?
Chicago is pretty soft in the sense that they do nothing but shoot jumpshots and it's definitely getting them into trouble. It depends on what you mean by soft, though.

I was going to say Chicago for the same reason, but soft could mean a lot of things to be honest.

Definitely the Raptors. Their toughest player is Chris Bosh and that's not a good thing. This is why I have no confidence in them in the playoffs. Cleveland would body them into submission if the playoffs hold form. They could beat Orlando by outshooting them, but everyone else they are just too weak. Building an all-jumpshooting Euro team isn't going to get it done IMO.

Re: Softest team in the NBA?
by soft i just mean, not tough in any way.
generally that means they are not good rebounding wise, defensively, shoot a lot (allergic to the paint), and dont hustle as much as they should

lol yep. We're in trouble in the playoffs.
I do think we could beat the Cavaliers, because there frontcourt is old and slow, and our perimeter oriented big men could give them trouble.
Also, if Sam Mitchell is actually smart, he'll put Delfino and Moon on LeBron, not freaking Anthony Parker, that geezer.
I'd rather play the Magic though. We always play Dwight good.
I hope BC realizes this euro jump shooting thing isn't going to work. We need toughness, slashing, rebounding, and defense. You put a guy like Artest/Maggette and a big like Maxiell/Milsap on this team and we are MUCH, MUCH better.

Re: Softest team in the NBA?
Good thing you said the Raptors because that's exactly who I was going to say. If they had any toughness they would've beaten the Nets last year.
I still have a foul taste in my mouth when no one on their team gave a hard foul to stop the Globetrottering.

Blazers.
They can't do jack with Jack on the floor, no James Jones to provide spacing, and no Oden.
They get outrebounded, outhustled, and just got outblown by the Sonics on Friday.

Re: Softest team in the NBA?
Toronto needs a change of culture. Their biggest problem is their most obvious one- having Bargnani at the 5 spot. He's soft for a 4, and borderline feminine at the 5. Mitchell doesn't even attempt to play him like a 5. I always see Bosh in the high post and Bargnani somewhere beyond the arc, along with the other 3 guys.
He's 250 lbs but plays like 210. He's like a softer Yi Jianlian. I'd request waivers.

Re: Softest team in the NBA?
Bargnani was a bad pick at the one, should've taken Gay or Aldridge. Even Kris Humpries is better at playing the C for the Raps.

Re: Softest team in the NBA?
I agree Bargnani is not a five. I hope his value skyrockets in the next couple years so we can trade him for a real 5, or a wingman.
His rebounding is attrocious, and his confidence is shaky at best.
BUT, he does play very good post defense.
softer than Yi? I don't know about that.. Bargnani actually takes it to the cup.

Nobody has mentioned Dallas yet after the two meltdowns ? I am speechless. Until they prove otherwise there isn't really much arguing against that even though I'm a fan.
