Kobe is not having Jordan's PPG because Kobe isnt selfish as Michael Jordan. He plays for the team where as Jordan played only for himself.

Can't you accomplish that with a warmup (running, jumping, etc.) and some body weight exercises?

Lifting pre-game would probably throw my shooting off..

It's probably personal preference. I don't know for sure. If you look at players though, even before games they're sweating their asses off.

Re: Is it true that pure shooters....

knowing from previously playing at a pretty high level (not remotely nba obviously, but with trainers/assistants etc) there is no way id do lifting before a game... and i highly doubt nba players would either.

they have a pretty intense/long warm up to build up that sweat and addrenaline... not a weights session

Re: Is it true that pure shooters....

I have stopped playing basketball for sometime now(5 years). But I do play indoor soccer and the best games I ever played in was a game where i finsihed up at the gym 45mins before the game. I always thought it was a conincidence but I am try it again.

There are lots of ways to get your blood flowing without making yourself physically weaker.

Lifting before a game makes absolutely no sense, and I really struggle to believe NBA players would do it.
