That sample size is too large. How did he do on his last attempt?

Can you show me any samples of Wally thriving in pressure situations?

A mid-season game against the lottery bound Bucks is a pressure situation?

Re: Cleveland trade seems to be working for them...
And it's not like Wally is killing the Cavs. He doesn't start, unlike Hughes, so if he struggles, it just means Mike Brown shuffles more minutes to Lebron or runs it more through Z(who didn't play last night).
But Wally is a 41 percent shooter for his career from 3, so I think it will even out. It's not like he's an unknown commodity. The only reason he is in the NBA right now is because he can shoot. So his shot better not leave him.

I was under the impression that the Cavaliers were a playoff-bound team and that there's pressure for players to actually win. Was I mistaken about that?

So wait. You are saying Wally can't handle the pressure of trying to win a regular season game within an 82 game season? Why is this joker even in the NBA then? I bet he's never been on a playoff bound team before, huh?
Your point makes no sense. Who gives a **** about Wally Szerbiak? He's coming off our bench. If he sucks too badly, Gibson and Pavlovic will eat all his minutes and the Cavs can just trade his expiring in the offseason.
There's really no risk in this deal at all. The Cavs didn't trade any of the players who were helping them win games previous to this. And so anything these guys do is bonus.

now back to the topic the trade was very good for the cavs in the fact they got pieces they needed, not just the best players out there. wally is a guy who can knock down open shots when called upon and can pick up the scoring slack if need be, he is a big upgrade on what larry hughes brought to the table. delonte west means that the cavs finally have a ball distributor who can both create and score himself AND age is on his side so he could very well be lebrons side kick for many years to come. bringing in ben wallace is also a good move in the fact that it takes alot of pressure off Z on defense and offense with lebron penetrating all ben has to do is jam it home (which he is capable of. and finally joe smith has proved this season he is still capable of playing at a high level on the offensive and gives them a big man scoring option coming off the bench which they didnt have before with varejao and marshall wasnt showing anything
this trade certainly makes the cavs a far more dangerous team offensivley and defensively and thewy are now definately in the mix for the east spot in the NBA finals

i was wrong, and you were right.

You may want to look over those playoff stats of his.
Wally's never been able to handle pressure. In Milwaukee it wasn't merely the bricked shots, it was the stupid turnovers with the game on the line. Boston fans spent a year watching the very same turnovers under pressure and throwing **** at their TVs in frustration. The reason he's still in the league is that contract of his. I shudder to think of Contract Year Wally. For the Cavs sake I hope they unload him over the summer.
