Re: Playoffs: Spurs or Lakers?
Barring injuries to either team this should be a relatively close series. Here are some stats to start this thread off:
Spurs: 11th in offensive efficiency, 3rd in defensive efficiency, .495 SOS (Strength of Schedule), margin of victory: 5.2 ppg
Lakers: 2nd in offensive efficiency, 6th in defensive efficiency, .512 SOS (Strength of Schedule), margin of victory: 7.1 ppg

Lakers new additions: Ariza for Cook and Evans early mid-season, backup for Radman/Luke at 3. Gasol for Kwame, Crittenton, picks to spell Bynum in his absence. Bynum expected back in a month, Ariza in 6 weeks.

Re: Playoffs: Spurs or Lakers?
Series outcome depends with how LA would recuperate with their health issues.
As a Lakers fan, Spurs concerns me the most in the postseason. I like how they are under the radar after all these big trades. They dont flinch at all, performing business as usual. The acquisition of Kurt Thomas and Stoudamire added depth and veteran experience which I know would be instrumental for them come playoff time.

Re: Playoffs: Spurs or Lakers?
Kobe always plays the Spurs well, the difference this time is that he has support around him. I think this would be like the Spurs-Suns series', a straight up shootout. I'm not betting against Kobe this year though.

Lakers, obviously. Kobe will set the scoring record for a series. Book it. Take notes, LeBron.
