Re: Yao out for Season with Stress Facture
Like others have said, calling this injury unlucky would be like calling a T-Mac back injury unlucky.
As the human body scales up and up and up for giants like Yao, the weight bearing capacity of feet doesn't increase proportionally with size. Very tall people are at risk for these types of injuries.
Going forward with his career, Houston is going to have to find a away to get his minutes way into the low 30's if they ever want to have him near 100% for the playoffs. His 37 mpg this year have just been way too much, expecially with his NT play in the summer.

Re: Yao out for Season with Stress Facture
T-Mac should really take it over for us. I hope he can do it, and Yao heals quick enough for the Playoffs.

Don't bet on it. What's going to happen is that he's going to miss all of playoffs, and be ready in time for the Olympics. Yi-****ing-ppee.

Re: Yao out for Season with Stress Facture
Just when i thought the Rockets were finally hitting their stride...Really, the unluckiest team in the nba.
I think its safe to say Yao is officially injury-prone.

unlucky would be like when raja bell or whoever it was got knocked out of the game by an inadvertent elbow to the head by shaq who's on his own team. 3 seasons in a row with injury are not unlucky, they're a pattern. The fact that you like this player doesn't make that untrue.

Re: Yao out for Season with Stress Facture
first of all, this injury prone bullsht is getting rediculous.
A toe infection is not injury prone, no one is gonna call you injury prone in real life cause you stubbed your toe.
Other than that, hes only missed like 34 games so far in his 5 whole seasons. Jeez people.
