Aldridge for Thomas?
the bulls should have never made this trade. the guy is long limbed, athletic and highly skilled. i haven't seen much of him since his texas days, and not to completely judge him by one half of a game, but he looks like the goods. great talent.

Re: Aldridge for Thomas?
He's in love with the jump shot, but that will probably work out well when Oden comes back.

that should be a scary tandem. their games seem to complement each other perfectly.

Re: Aldridge for Thomas?
A lot of people have said he will never be the rebounder he needs to be though, I don't like players at the 4/5 that don't rebound. I still like Tryus's potential more right now but unless he improves a lot in the next couple years than yes the Blazers stole Lamarcus from the Bulls.

thomas is getting more mins. now, and looks to at least be putting up better numbers.

Re: Aldridge for Thomas?
Skiles probably would've find some way to mess up his game or confidence if he was in Chicago. Aldridge is quite the talent though. Can't wait to see him and Oden together.

Aldridge can actually rebound and get at least 8-10 boards a game...although he is quite soft at it. But when he is actually put in a position to do so, he can get his rebounds. It's usually because Nate likes to have Aldridge shoot it up and then run back down the court....which if he misses, it will usually end up going to the other team, or onto Pryzbilla. It's more of a running offense thing....because I remember during his rookie year, the Blazers were more half-court and slow due to the team playing Randolph ball and Aldridge got more rebounds that way....

Re: Aldridge for Thomas?
i like both players, but i think Thomas will be the better player.
Aldridge is too perimeter oriented, and a not good enough rebounder for my tastes. Although, that maybe a good fit beside a defensive beast like Oden.
Thomas on the other hand, I love. I hope to God Colangelo can somehow pick this guy up for cheap. He will be a defensive beast, plain and simple. He just hasn't gotten the chance to showcase his skills yet. If he can develop a jumpshot, and a decent handle.. i think he has a good chance to be a star at SF.. if not, he'll be a very, very good PF

Re: Aldridge for Thomas?
Alridge is a far better player than Tyrus Thomas. He actually has a coherent post game and is much better shooter

Not even close! LA's game will be a perfect compliment to big Greg!

so if he can learn to shoot and dribble, he'll be a good player? the same can be said about lots of athletic players. thomas absolutely is not a small forward. he's a power forward all the way because he just doesn't have the perimeter skills.
and aldridge is much better. he is a jump shooting big man but he can rebound and defense well enough(especially with oden coming in next year) and can play in the post as well. he's got everything you could ask for in a complimentary big(offensively and defensively). tyrus thomas on the other hand is an athletic backup pf that can run the floor, provide energy, and help defense(mainly shot blocking).
