Last 25 games: Camby or Mutombo?
Kmart is playing great defense this season. Nuggets are the worst interior defensive team in the west. Is Camby the problem?
79 years old Mutombo is still a great defensive player. According to foxsports, nobody knows how old Motombo is. I am assuming that he is 79.
Who is a better defender, Camby or Mutombo?
ESPN, TNT, Foxsports and ABC announcers think Camby deserves to be an all-star starter this season.

Re: Last 25 games: Camby or Mutombo?
After what Dikembe did last night, I am going to have to go with the homer pick. They guy hasn't played 5 minutes in the last 2-3 months, and comes in and has 3 blocks in the first quarter, and he shut down the lane completely.

in their primes its Deke without question. I saw him as a young, i say that very very cautiously. but in him prime he was amazing... it seems that just now Camby is hitting his prime, and while he is a great off ball defender and weak side rebounder, he is too thin, light, and fragile to be a fierce on ball defender.

I'd say that's a good analysis. Mutombo's peak was considerably better than Camby's. But for the last stretch of this season I'd go with Camby. Slender and injury-prone though he may be, he's got much more gas in the tank than Dikembe. Big Zeke may be the fiercer defender for the odd here and there or for a 10 minute stretch, but he can't keep it up for 32-35 minutes every night.
And the problem with the Nuggets' interior defense (which I seriously doubt is the worst in the league) isn't that Camby isn't contributing. It's that he's overloaded. Good slashers (and the league is full of them) are overwhelming what passes for perimeter defense. The Nuggets desperately need a healthy Nene's bulk and nose for man defense, as well as someone on the outside who can keep in front of penetrators.

I love Deke and his charity work but lets be real here. Camby takes it at this point.

As for the question, I'll assume you meant "last 25 years" - so I'll pick Mutombo.

Re: Last 25 games: Camby or Mutombo?
well mutombo needs to take his meds and feed the pigeons but the 10 minutes that he gets on the court he might be better
i'd still take camby cuz he isn't 79

Re: Last 25 games: Camby or Mutombo?
The Nuggets are not the worst interior defensive team, Minnesota is worse for one.
