Kidd: Quit blaming me
I didn't quit on the team," said Kidd, who will play the Nets on Saturday in Dallas. "The ride was over. At the end of the day, I gave everything that I could give to the Nets. There were no more rabbits that I could pull out of the hat. There were no more rabbits that Rod (Thorn) could pull out of a hat. That is as far as they could go. I took them as high as I could."
so true...rod thorn should get fired for mishandling the nets franchise. he got credited for rebuilding it, but he stuck with the crew for too long...

Re: Kidd: Quit blaming me
yeah, his contract demands that ended up into yelling contests between thorn and kidd and his "migraine" holdout against the knicks really prove his case, he gave up on the team halfway through the season when he said he's ok being on a mediocre team. he either wanted to be traded or paid and the nets were not going to give him a 20 mil a year extension like he demanded

Re: Kidd: Quit blaming me
The fans should be blaming themselves for not coming to see a HOF player like Kidd, I don't blame kidd for wanting to see sellout crowds @ home games again.

So they needed to pay him to stay on the crappy team. If I were as good as him, I would have done the same thing
