Top 30 Players in the NBA - #25
We're now looking for the 25th top player in the NBA. By popular request, this polling will extend through the top 30 players.
The objective...
We're building a list of the top 30 players in the league, one player at a time. You vote for the top player in the league by posting his name in bold font. After 24 hours (or 50 votes, whichever comes first), the leading vote getter goes #1 on the list and we vote for #2 and the process repeats all the way to 25. You can only vote once per round, but you may vote for the same player as many times as you would like in successive rounds if he's not already on the list. I will disregard your vote if I find it to be frivolous.
The definition of the "best" player is who you would take to START a team with the goal of winning a championship in the 2007-2008 season. Contract, potential, position, current team etc. is irrelevant.
Imagine that we're redrafting the whole league; please do NOT give regard to current team. You have an EMPTY roster and this is the player that you're building around. DO NOT GIVE REGARD TO A PLAYER'S ACTUAL SUPPORTING CAST.
And please try to refrain from voting with a hometown bias. Note that this doesn't mean that you're not allowed to vote for your favorite player, just please please please try to remain objective. We're trying to compile a legitimate list here, and neither you nor your favorite player wins a prize for landing a high slot.
1) Lebron James
2) Kobe Bryant
3) Tim Duncan
4) Kevin Garnett
5) Chris Paul
6) Dwyane Wade
7) Dwight Howard
8) Steve Nash
9) Dirk Nowitzki
10) Yao Ming
11) Amare Stoudemire
12) Allen Iverson
13) Deron Williams
14) Carmelo Anthony
15) Tracy McGrady
16) Baron Davis
17) Chris Bosh
18) Paul Pierce
19) Emanuel Ginobili
20) Carlos Boozer
21-22) Jason Kidd, Brandon Roy (tie)
23) Chauncey Billups
24) Gilbert Arenas

Kobe is not having Jordan's PPG because Kobe isnt selfish as Michael Jordan. He plays for the team where as Jordan played only for himself.
