his rookie season right now is very similar to melo's rookie year, even lebrons. both those guys played with better teammates and melo made the playoffs. you couldnt possibly expect him by himself carry earl watson and whoever they have there to the playoffs. he's missing point blank shots, he'll eventually hit those and once he learns how to play some defense, he'll be better.

I think he'll definately be an all-star, and in his prime he'll be a superstar in the same way as Melo & Dirk are (guys who can play like superstars but for whatever reason, are doubted by a lot of people).

He will be a superstar. He just needs some more experience, and more muscle. He has the talent now he just needs to refine it.

He is going to be one of the 6-7 best players in the NBA within 2-3 years. He's no LBJ or Kobe, but the guy will make his mark.

I'm hoping that he fails miserably (in OKC), but I think he has a good chance to be a very good to excellent (and complete) player over time. But it will take time.

i'm a longhorn fan, but that doesn't mean i'm going to overrate all their players. durant had no business being hyped as a contender to be picked over oden and because he was, he'll probably never be good enough for some people to accept. i mean i like the guy and everything, but i can't see him ever leading the league in scoring.
