Re: is kevin durant going to be a superstar?
In my opinion, Kevin Durant = Glenn Robinson. I think they will have similar careers, give you 20-23 points a game, be a decent rebounder, and play no defense. He will probably make a couple all star games just like Big Dog did. With respect to the unknown that is Greg Oden, Al Horford looks like the gem of that draft.

To further the comments on the Carter comparison I think he will be a T-Mac minus the constant injuries.

I remember 5 years ago when everyone was saying this about Carmelo Anthony. It's just a popular comparison for any small forward who comes out of college as an elite level scoring prospect. I'm not even a huge fan, but I'm comfortable saying anyone who doesn't think Kevin Durant is going to be better than Glenn Robinson is delusional.

I dont thik its a bad thing to compare him to Robinson. People seem to think thats an insult, but he did average 20ppg in his career. Glenn was a very consistent scorer that never got the love he deserved, mainly because he was an awful defensive player and the fact he was drafted immediately ahead of Jason Kidd and Grant Hill. There isnt an overwhelming number of guys that put up 20 a night for 10 years, I think Seattle would be disappointed if Durant wasnt better than Robinson, my gut just tells me that he has more Big Dog in him than Melo who you mentioned, but its early and I could be wrong.

Re: is kevin durant going to be a superstar?
Big Dog was a pretty good player. He just had a crappy attitude and didn't play defense.

stackhouse was a pretty good scorer at the time. and i don't really put a whole lot into his leading the league in scoring. he had the most total points, but iverson scored 31.1 per game while stackhouse only scored 29.8 per game. stackhouse just played 80 games to iverson's 71 so that made the difference.
and yes, durant has to score more than lebron and i don't see that ever happening.

Re: is kevin durant going to be a superstar?
Like you said Stackhouse was a good scorer, but not a very good or even great one. He needed to take way too many shots to get his points, his game was not efficient.
