Eddie has a bust and needs to get in better shape, but i think he will be a great great player in 2, 3 years. He is a terror on offense.

I don't know if you are joking about dynasty or if you are serious. But, I think Curry will be a great player in the league, though not a superstar like Shaq and Duncan. He actually plays a very "Euro" game. He is great offensively, but defensively he commits silly fouls, and he isn't a great rebounder. All those things can be fixed though.

You guys are passing judgement on a guy who is only 19. Right now he's not that great, but give him a few years and I think Eddy Curry will turn out to be a fine NBA player. An all-star for years. If you watched him play this season he showed great signs for the future. Curry will continue to get better as the Bulls get better.

I've said it before and I will say it again. He will be a decent player. Maybe even an all-star. That is not saying much in the east. I predict him in his prime to average around 18 and 8. He has a nice touch around the basket but frankly his defense sucks almost as bad as DYNASTY sucks EC's balls. He is not a great rebounder but he is so big that he will still get his fair share of rebounds but will never be in the top 10. He will be a nice player.
Please...let's watch the baiting and attacking. Thanks, Devestata..

To say Eddy Curry sucks, is just pure ignorance. I bet you were saying the same thing about KG his first couple of years in the pros as well.
I don't know whats worse, hearing the Cetlics biased announcer or hearing this John and his obvious biased opinions. How will Eddy Curry be a bust if he doesn't put up Shaq type numbers?? Hate to break it to ya buddy, but just cause ya don't put up Hall of Fame numbers, doesn't mean your a bust. That must mean Zo Mourning was a best since he didn't put up similar numbers to Shaq . Was Shaq just dominating the NBA at the age of 21 anyways?? Nope he wasn't. By the way, the last 2 months of the season Eddy Curry averaged around 20 points a game and 7 boards a game. Not too shabby for a 21 year old who is in his second year. You must look down at Shaq as well then, because the Daddy himself had much praise for the youngster. He considers EC one of three true centers in the NBA. If that isn't praise, I don't know what is.

I suspect this post was just someone lashing out at DYNASTY for his absurd comments relating to Curry. So I'll join in too...
"Bust" doesn't depend on how good you play, it depends on how good you were supposed to be able to play. You can be an all-star and still be a bust depending on the expectation. Sam Bowie had a good career when healthy.
Curry isn't a bust yet, its way too early. He probably won't become one either because he's progressing. He will be an all-star (in the east) but may never be dominating. He just doesn't rebound well, especially for a guy his size parked under the basket. I just don't see the Shaq/Duncan 20 rebound dominance in his future.

Nice post, I totally agree. You're right- Eddy (and Yao too for that matter) will never reach the level of a Shaq because they simply are not the dominating inside presence that he is/was. Duncan? That's possible, but Eddy will need to drastically improve his rebounding, passing and defense. Eddy certainly has the talent to reach Duncan's level, but part of what makes Duncan so great is his basketball I.Q.- I'm not sure that Eddy has that.
That being said though, Eddy should still be a force to be reckoned with on the inside, and most likely an allstar for years to come (whether he's playing in the East or the West).

I dont know why you use Yao as an example because he and I also are a chinese?
But please mark my words, YAO IS A BUST!
CHINESE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PLAY AT THE NBA LEVEL FOR FULL 48 MINUTES! MARK MY WORDS, NOT A RACIST BECAUSE I AND MING HAVE THE SAME RACE!
|
I didn't realize that you are Chinese- that wasn't why i was using Yao as an example.
I totally disagree that Yao will be a bust, as well. Yao is not exaclty a dominating inside presence like Shaq was, but he is incredibly skilled at shooting and passing, and is a good rebounder and improving defender as well. He just needs time and oppurtunities.

Well certainly you're entitled to your opninion, but 18 and 8?!? Eddy should easily eclipse those numbers by next season. I really don't think you're giving Eddy enough credit- true, his rebounding and defense are somewhat suspect, but he is way too talented a scorer to average 18 points for his career- he just makes scoring look much too easy. I don't think that he is the next Shaq or anything, but the guy led the league in fg% at age 20, for pete's sake- give the guy some credit, that is not the type of thing that happens every day.
