NBA science tells us there must be at least 0.3 seconds left on the game clock for a team to successfully get off a jump shot. (Yes, the Trent Tucker rule.) If there's less time on the clock, you can only score on a tip or alley-oop. (Unless, of course, you're playing in Atlanta. )

And he made that last shot too! David Stern needs to change the rules to have clocks count in hundredths of a second or sumthin, because his current rule is flawed. Let's go Stern, make it happen.

The rule doesn't need to be changed because they don't have sensors to start the clock right when the ball touches your hand. There is going to be that pause between when the player catches the ball and the timekeeper actually starting the clock. There is a human reflex. Only thing they could possibly do is change it to .3 instead of .4, but even then, you saw how long it took Kapono to get a shot off in .3 seconds. That was with no defense, from his chest, and a set shot. Not really realistic in the context of an NBA game. Cool video though.

yeah pretty much what I was thinking. If you can get the shot off that way it would work, the chances of that though are slim to none.
yes my dad went to go get ice cream sandwiches because we all got hungry for it when we saw the brick sign and im like that looks like an ice cream sandwich more then a brick and they got hungry so now ima get me some samiches.
the players all need to wear gloves for the final minute of the game.
