Re: Players Height
If you're undersized on the perimeter, if you have speed, long arms and a strong basketball IQ you can still be relatively successful. It's hard to be a small center/PF though, defensively you're most likely going to end up in a mismatch.
If you're 6'0 and really serious about playing at a high level though, you better work on your guard skills.

Re: Players Height
I don't exactly think you should be PF if you are 6', you should definitely work on guard skills.

Re: Players Height
I went to JHigh with Larry Johnson (listed as 6'7") and we were both ~5-11; I stopped at 6-2, and he went first in the draft.

Re: Players Height
Forget your height, and learn to be a complete basketball player, if that's what you want to be. But a complete basketball player doesn't just do what you might stereotypically think a power forward does. If you are 5-11, no, you will not be a power forward at any legitimate level of competition. Sorry, but you won't. Period. And frankly, despite never having seen you play, the odds are stacked heavily against you making it at any position, ever, in part because of your height but in part due to the sheer numbers of it. If you're from Wales, it's noteworthy that the U.K. is considered a pretty low level of basketball, with very few players considered successful on a major professional level. I would tell (and have told) anyone from anywhere the same thing: at the age of 16, you're way too young to pin your hopes on any one thing, least of all a professional sport.
But if you love it, focus on your all-around game and be realistic: if you make it--a BIG if--it will be as a guard. You need to be quicker, a better ball-handler, smarter, a better shooter, a better passer and tough. If you're a guard who can post up other guards by using what you think are your PF skills, great. But you will never be a successful PF. Sorry. And good luck with whatever you do.
