That's really biased and dumb. It's like me saying Chris Paul has it coming since every time he drives to the bucket he throws an elbow out and a few times it connected with Kidd, and other Mavericks.

SImply put it's Pauls and Dirks style of play, they're both very aggressive. Just because other players get hit through their style of play doesn't mean they as you said about Dirk "had it comin". What it shows to me is that you are biased to the Hornets, and can't see Dirks game for what it really is. Dirk isn't out there to try and hurt anyone.

you think its biased and dumb that I said they needed to set the tone for the series? Dirks elbow im sure wasnt intentional, i never said otherwise, but whats wrong with west taking a little offense and getting in his head?

Your obviously trying to look past my comment and stir the pot, but considering all i said was i'm happy they aren't gonna lay down for the mavs and take one in the ***, you dont have much to argue. Besides, wasn't kobe running his mouth pretty much the entire game yesterday? abc has that wired sequence and every time you could hear kobe shoutin off at the lip... and thats essentially the same thing. Let the other team know your on the court, and you aint gonna stand for nothin.... thats playoff basketball my friend, so all i gotta say is either **** or get off the pot.

You would not be happy if the Mavericks showed little class, and dogged Paul for any reason, even yours "setting the tone". Especially shoving a guy , and putting your hand on his face trying to intimidate a guy. It's bush, it was even called out by the TNT crew.

My point is, I wouldn't be cool if the Mavericks treated Paul like that because Of an elbow Paul hit Kidd with, its just his game, or because the Mavs want to intimidate Chris Paul.

As for your Kobe comment, I have nothing to say, Kobe is always vocal hence the fact he lead the league in technicals this season. Barking back and forth with Kenyon Martin (well known trash talker) is far from shoving a guy, and putting your hands on his face.

Believe me I'm not stirring the pot, far from it. I can careless who wins this series. I'm just calling it for how I see it. Chandler/West acted like punks end of story.

Re: more dirk respect: chandler pushes him david west touched his face

NO, Tyson and West were not punks which is what everyone would very much like them to be. They would indeed have been punks though if they had let Dirk keep swiping his wet hairless armpits across their faces and flopping his elbows into their mouths the entire game. If you look at the replay of the Tyson and Dirk incident, right before Tyson pushed Dirk, see how Dirk's right elbow flew up towards Tyson's face. I know some here are gonna want to see it the way they want to though but whatever. West is very quiet and never gets into it with anyone but he had obviously had enough of Dirk's crap. Tyson and West let the "experienced" Mavericks know that they didn't just get to the playoffs to lay down and get rolled over. Again, whatever. The person really stirring the pot here is aznzen. He's a Hornet hater from many of his posts. Started a thread on 'upsets in the making' and of all the teams in the playoffs, he talks down the Hornets. Blatant.

And another thing about Dirk that ESPN TrueHoops, Henry Abbott mentioned...

i never said one word about chandler pushing him, please read my friend. I'm all about west getting in his face though, their going head to head in this series and west(other than his all star appearance) has been criminally underrated for a couple seasons now. I already said it once, and ill reitterate... hes making his presence felt. Seriously though, the fact that he stayed pretty composed and didnt go rick james on dirk shows that he was in control the whole time, he just wasn't gonna stand for getting knocked upside the head.

here the dirk/west thing, i doubt it will be up for much longer. If you can get past the hilarious commentary by this guy, you'll see that dirk flailed his arms horribly and knocked west right in the grill. Tell me 23aj, since you compared paul and dirk, how often have you seen chris do this? its one thing if your comparing paul driving to the basket and giving some contact, and dirk working out of a triple threat stance and catching someone with an accidental elbow, but this **** isnt even a basketball move, let alone their everyday style of play.

I really dont think Dirk should retaliate. He's way to important to his team. You have to put your pride aside and show it on the scoreboard...which didn't happen anyway. You still shouldn't go around flopping every time someone touches you though.

Micheal Cooper needs to be pimped slapped. People don't like the Hornets and they get no respect. That's just the way it is.

Michael Cooper is hilarious.
