hes more valuable to his team?.. yet his team has a weaker record in a weaker conference. his team was barely over 500. and they had a losing record in their own division! most outstanding player award this is not..

without lebron, the cavs would have had the worst record in the league this year. the cavs were 45-30 with lebron, 0-7 without him. so yes, the hornets have a better record than the cavs. the hornets also had a much healthier roster, more talented players around paul, and a much smaller mid season trade. doesn't change anything about how good and valuable lebron is or chris paul is.

lebron is both better and more valuable than paul.

Re: Chris paul for MVP

People who don't want to give CP3 the MVP are people who don't like when a player comes out of nowhere to win an award. This isn't a lifetime achievement award or a best 3 seasons award. It's that line of thought that a player has to "earn their stripes" before they can win the MVP thats going to keep Chris Paul from winning it despite having a clear cut MVP season.

Kobe really didn't seem like an MVP candidate before Gasol arrived or before Bynum started showing what he can really do.

CP3 for MVP...cmon it fricken rhymes!
