Re: Chris paul for MVP

I've yet to hear anything about this, and I have a hard time believing that's how it's going to shape up.

Re: Chris paul for MVP

I also don't think they'll announce it on Monday, only because last season they didn't announce it until after the first round was over (which pretty much sucked for Dirk).

Hey, it made for great comedy, you have to admit. I'll be stunned if Garnett finishes higher than fourth. He's far and away the most valuable, but this is the straight guy's version of the prom queen vote, and KG lacks the drama ***** factor that reporters seem to want.

Re: Chris paul for MVP

I could see it playing out that way. Kobe typically has underachieved in these votes, because there has historically been a silent anti-kobe faction. A lot of people like and respect KG. And then even Lebron's fans don't think he should get MVP for 45 wins. So I think the anti-Kobe, pro-lebron votes will coallesce behind Paul, because Paul has a lot of the same reasons you'd vote for Lebron, plus wins.

I dunno. We'll see.

Re: Chris paul for MVP

Well the city of NO had a lot of these CP3 for MVP events to help his chances. I mean since when was the MVP race like a race for politics? Is this what the MVP award has really become in this league?

Huh? Why would the City of NO care if Chris Paul won MVP? Kind of a waste of money for a place that could use the funds more responsibly, if you ask me.
