yeah larry sucks, he only managed to guide the pistons to win a championship only 4 years ago... and then the following year he got them to a 7th game in the nba finals...
never mind that he coached a knick team that featured starbury and eddie curry as the "franchise" players... forget that he didn't have the resources to win in new york, he sucks because their record sucked!
and let's not mention that the pistons haven't really been considered a top tier team since he left detroit. mr. brown, you're almost as bad a coach as kwame brown is a player!
no but really, the only thing you can claim about larry brown is... that he doesn't fit with the bobcats because he's not the kind of coach to develop his players. plus he's a major quitter and leaves almost every team he goes to after a max of 2-3 years.
people knock larry, but as it turns out.. he was probably right in not developing darko, because darko really sucks. he sucks so bad that it amazes me that isiah didn't trade for him. i guess isiah steered clear because he didn't have a big contract that would cripple the knicks franchise.

wait, you mean when they were the best team in the regular season the year after he left and made the eastern conference finals, they weren't considered a top tier team? and then the next year when they were the only team in the east viewed as a threat until they ran into lebron, they weren't considered a top tier team then?
yeah, because teams hire coaches specifically to get the best regular season record. either way you look at it, the pistons without larry brown have CHOKED. they got beaten by lebron single handedly. and then the miami heat beat them (realistically, they were never even that good).

you can say they choked and that's fine. but to claim they were not a top tier team would be incorrect. it's either one or the other. they were either a top tier team that choked or they were merely a good team and no one should have expected any more from them than what they did.
and i still stand by the pistons being better off keeping rick carlisle and giving him sheed to work with.

why? why can't i say "because they did so well in the regular season but choked in the playoffs, it proves that they were overrated"? same goes with the mavs.

well then they were never really a top tier team to begin with.
