obviously if you get guys who dont feed into the system, things will go wrong(larry brown in NY) but that doesnt mean larry brown got worse as a coach. it just means the knicks have horrible players on the team.

i guess i could see a coach declining if he left for like 20 years and the game changed but not in browns case.
they lose confidence in their team.... or their team loses confidence in them and then they give up

i hate the pistons but damn dude give brown props where props are due. that was one of the biggest upsets in nba history...

he didnt get ''lucky''. before he came they were getting ****ed over by the nets. coaches dont decline. they get put in bad situations. you dont forget how to coach.
for your information the pistons not only made the finals in the last 20 years(outside of the brown era) but they've actually won 2 titles with isiah thomas(1989 and 1990). so don't be spewing stuff that you know nothing about.

and coaches can decline. look at guys like lenny wilkens or pat riley. they were pretty good coaches back then but as the games change and as they get older they declined. at lot of it has to do with age.. as people get older their brain deteriorate to a point where even with experience and knowledge, the mind just can't function like it used to. maybe you don't have any grandparents, or you think older people are just dumb by default?

It's been ten years, and I say if Michael Jordan chose to still play the game of basketball, he'd dominate.
