His career average is just above 3.1 I think, and he had has several 4+ BPG seasons under his belt.

Just saying, Smith's combination of youth and his current block rate gives him a rare chance to break that record (Deke won't do it). Smith isn't really the shotblocker Hakeem was, but I don't think we've necessarily seen the best he has to offer in that department, either.
