how would he not?
theres some strong bias against AI this year that he cant fit on a good team.
the blazers could use a 20/7 pg immensely.
jarrett jack sucked this year.
sergio rodriguez isnt a championship quality pg.
neither is steve blake.
all of them arent any better defensively then AI so why not adda hof pg still in his prime to the mix if possible?
AI would complete this blazer team. he should go, but like i said he probably wont. hell be with the nuggets next year.
His scoring could really put them over the edge.

His attitude or style of play doesn't fit this blazers squad. I would take the man he was traded for (Andre Miller) 10 times out of 10 for this blazers squad over Iverson

typical AI bias...
his attitude? he has a pretty good attitude. the blazers have no veteran experience. they need a team leader. that would definately benefit them.
his style? well their style is make brandon roy make all the plays. AI is a solid passer. he would definately facilitate as good as blake if not better and score alot more.
and you only would want andre miller cuz AIs team got swept by the hottest team in the nba.

No, it's the fact the he shoots 20 times a game at 40% and only passes the ball to get an assist and not to make the right pass.

that is no true at all. AI has a very good fg%. he shoots about .460 and is very good at penetration. what do you mean pass the ball to get an assist? an assist means you helped another person score so how can you make a bad assist?......
people like you are just biased against AI.

The man has a problem with the law which is what portland has spent the last couple years getting themselves rid of.
He's turning 33 this offseason which is far too old for the Blazers young core. He averages 3 turnovers a game (which is almost 1 more turnover per game than Jarrett Jack, whom Blazer fans cringe whenever he has the ball and ***** about all the time)
His body has a lot more miles on it than many other players at age 33.
And Portland wouldn't be giving up Roy, Oden, Aldridge or Fernandez for him. So I don't really see the point in discussing your boy the "answer" (which is funny because Andre Miller seemed like more of an answer for the 76ers woes than AI did)

Re: Best player you expect to be traded this off-season
Another possibility:
Hedo, JJ, future 1st
For
David Lee, Qrich, this years pick
Knicks do this deal for the cap releif. They get to dump Richardsons contract on us, dont have to pay Lee out the *** it they dont think he's worth it and get value for him, but we take their pick. They get Hedo's expiring, JJ, and a future 1st(or our #22 pick)

What he means--and I'm not saying I agree about AI, but just explaining the point--is that passing to get an assist doesn't make a person unselfish. It implies that the player isn't passing to move the ball, reverse it, or get it to someone else in better position to make a play, none of which are a positive stat for the player. Instead it's someone who will only pass for the benefit of the statistic of assist, and otherwise look for his own interests. People like Derrick McKey and Toni Kukoc were often credited during their careers for being excellent passers on non-assist plays--passing to the player who gets the assist. Marbury, on the other hand, is an example of the opposite. You think "8, 9 assists per game, he can't be selfish!" Then you see him play, and he is. He passes only for the assist.
