well i think that was kinda the whole point. i don't think paul is better than peak iverson yet(though apparently others disagree), while he certainly could surpass iverson eventually.

If you compare raw numbers Iverson is averaging 41.3 minutes per game for his career.That's 10% more than CP played this season.Many of his seasons it's 12% more minutes,like playing 10 more games compared to Paul.Paul only plays those sorts of minutes when it's necessary.I think he sat out the entire fourth quarter in half a dozen blowout wins this year.Of course he played the entire 48 a couple of games when it was necessary.You adjust CP's numbers for those sorts of minutes and he's got 25 points 13 assists 5 rebounds 3 steals and he's still only 2.75 turnovers per games.That would be a pretty decent season,but obviously the Hornets just want to win games and they aren't going to play CP more than necessary.

Well not really. Because in my mind the stat's arent the whole story.
Just to throw this out there: What if you put this year's Chris Paul on the Sixers instead of Iverson during the year they went to the Finals?

that team would struggle with paul instead of iverson. they needed a volume scorer. they really didn't have any of big scoring threats other than iverson on that team.
