As a Pacers fan, I would love to trade him to the Mavericks for Nowitzki, but we might have to add more and i'm not sure if I would give up our pick and Danny isn't going anywhere.

Washington please, Jermaine O'Neal could put us over the top and finally get us to the next level. Although the chances of Ernie Grunfeld actually pursuing a Jermaine O'Neal trade are pretty much none, I'd love to have him in DC.

The guy can't stay healthy, and his stats were beyond horrible last season. And he's getting a ridiculous amount of money for the next two seasons. Think "Mike Bibby to Atlanta."
In other words, Indiana's not going to get much back for O'Neal. And they shouldn't -- he's pretty washed up.

The guy is done. This has a very small "what if" to it. I could see Washington biting though. They need someone like him. The contract part doesn't help though.

But what could washington offer us? Their pick would be nice, or Nick Young. But there would have to be a lot of contract fillers involved.

I'd rather keep Nick Young, we could offer you 2-3 draft picks and contract fillers that expire like a year before Jermaine O'Neal's contract does.
This doesn't really sound like something Indiana would bite on but you never know, we all saw the Gasol trae.

Why should they offer you much of anything? O'Neal is washed up and isn't even close to being as good as he was. I really don't think he would help the Wizards out that much.

Re: o'neal wants out. who wants him back?
This guy is done. Those 20 and 10 days are over. Worst, he cant even play an 80 game season. He's a liability whose going to just eat your cap space.
If Indiana is willing to unload him, they should just grab any expiring offer for this guy and start rebuilding ASAP. Pacers have way too many bad contracts left, Murphy,Dunleavy,Tinsley. So might as well start now with O'Neal.
Bird waited too long. He was too stubborn playing mind games. And to think we almost gave Kwame Brown for him?

Re: o'neal wants out. who wants him back?
Is milwaukee cutting salary? Maybe they'd part with Redd if we agree to take Mo Williams also? Redd is only signed one year longer than O'Neal, but Mo is signed till 2012/13. The heat wanted Mo before. Maybe we could move him for someone like Haslem. The numbers aren't too far off on that.
Milwaukee gets O'Neal and 23 mil gone in two years.
Indiana gets Redd and Haslem
Miami gets Mo Williams.
If Milwaukee does want to dump salary everyone wins.

He only has two years left. I doubt very few teams can do better than 23 mil that expires in two years. Its Dunleavy and Tinsley that are going to be here forever.
