Hate seeing system players get taken away by covetous outside organizations. I still wish Miami had Kapono, and he's virtually worthless since he left Dwyane Wade. I think Lakers fans will probably always wonder what would have been for all the seasons he is no longer playing for them.
Ariza has a ring, so its not about that anymore, he just wants some security and Houston is willing to pay, so more power to him. He should be a good fit in Houston.
man, i love how mitch held his ground this time and told trevor's agent to go plug a dong up his butt. ill miss ariza though. one of the best small forward the lakers had since cedric ceballos.
The funny thing is that in hindsight, knowing Artest wanted to go to LA, it doesn't matter whether Ariza wanted 6 or 9 million because the Lakers would have let him go to any of the teams offering the midlevel and signed Artest. The only reason Ariza looks like the greedy guy and the Lakers don't look like the bad guy for dropping him is because of timing. Just shows that all the vilifying fans do is silly.
He doesnt replace what Artest gave them on the Rockets. Strictly a role player who cant create his own offense and quite frankly on a team that will be without Tmac and Yao, I wonder who will be doing the creating for him.

ariza is not as bad as some people think, he's a mle player so dont expect much. besides his knack on the defensive end, he's a great slasher, a strong transition finisher and now can hit the three with precision. if trevor puts some time to improve his ball handling and conditioning, the kid can be something more.
