Sorry Blazers...but he's done. He must be depressed as hell at this point. I hope he has a good support system.

NBA players can blow the amount of money Oden made without breaking a sweat. I don't think I could manage it, but I would like to see how much fun I could have trying.

Pro sports players being idiots isn't my problem though.

Hes made more than I could ever hope to make in my whole life, putting in 0 work for it the whole way through.

Greg Oden's a ****ing joke. The man is in his 20's, and he looks like he's pushing 50. Apparently his body agrees with that same assessment.

That's definitely not true, though I understand what you mean. He's sacrificing his body season in and season out, in spite of the clear evidence that his body will not allow him to play professional basketball. Putting in hours and hours of rehab every single day to try and make it back only to have another major, long term life altering injury. Rinse and repeat, certainly can't be a fun process. It's nice that he's at least got a substantial amount of cash to fall back on, but at the same time, he's been let down every step of the way trying to do do what he loves. I definitely feel for the dude, it has to be a demoralizing process.

Hes let himself down. Its not like someone is out to get him, hes just not cut out to be an NBA player.

What of the every day man whos knees fail? They don't have the money for endless surgery. Odens not only getting his for free, hes getting millions on top of it. But we should feel bad for him because he puts in a couple hours of rehab every day? And hes played like 7 and a half minutes in the NBA. To say hes sacraficing his body season in and season out is just silly.
