It looked like a bad version of a Kobe impersonation...Kobe lovers dont get mad, I simply meant his facial expression, not his actions

Re: CONFIRMED: Van Gundy Says That Howard Asked Orlando Management To Fire Him
Finally watched the video since it wasn't up in the thread this morning.
If hes going to complain about the media and how they should drop everything, why did he forcefully insert himself into the whole thing? They were talking to Stan. He didn't need to go in there and play the whole "Me and Stan are best buddies. This is all a lie." bullshit. Funny to see how quick Stan got out of there as soon as Howard showed up.

Re: CONFIRMED: Dwight Howard Staying In Orlando (For At Least Another Season)
Wait, Dwight is the bad guy?
I dont think it's his fault that this is a public display right now. If anyone you blame management for telling Stan that Dwight wants him out, or you blame Stan for confirming this on camera to numerous reporters. If Stan wanted a player gone, im sure he can send his suggestions in to managemnt. If a player wanted Stan gone, he can send his suggestions in to management. Management has to make the final decision, but it is more professional to keep everything in house. You dont need to tell every opinion to the flock of media or to every person involved.

Re: CONFIRMED: Van Gundy Says That Howard Asked Orlando Management To Fire Him
Uh yea, Dwight definitely is the bad guy. Who the hell does he think he is trying to dictate things for a franchise he's not even committed to? And then he gets in front of the cameras and acts like a ****ing dick to the reporters. Every single thing related to this ongoing saga is his fault, yes.

More ****tardery out of the Orlando Magic. Everyone's at fault here. It's Stan's fault for putting this out in the open when he didn't have to. It's Dwight's for trying to run the organization and just being a dipshit in general. It's management's fault for letting Dwight's request get back to Stan.

Re: CONFIRMED: Van Gundy Says That Howard Asked Orlando Management To Fire Him
What if management asked him what changes he wanted that would make him want to stay long term, and he replied that he "wanted a new coach"? You dont know the context of anything... Dwight didn't want to dictate the franchise he wanted to leave, and the franchise wanted to keep him... If Dwight thinks a new coach makes this team better or more attractive to him, and management wants to keep him, then thats fine but it doesn't make him a bad guy. Like i said, if you really want to blame someone blame management or whoever has the loose lips for letting this blow up in public.
If you think a new PG or SG makes this team better, that doesn't make you a bad guy. If you're a player or coach, you want personnell adjustments that makes the team better. Everyone in the organization has opinions. SOme opinions you dont have to tell everybody.

Re: CONFIRMED: Van Gundy Says That Howard Asked Orlando Management To Fire Him
Van Gundy doesn't care, said as much in the video. He'll find something else to do. He knows he's gone anyways. He'll get another job somewhere.
Still surprised he went public like that though.

Re: CONFIRMED: Van Gundy Says That Howard Asked Orlando Management To Fire Him
I wonder if it was a calculated move by Stan to release this today, with the New York media in town and with the game being on TNT?
