How the hell can you not blame Howard for every bit of this?

Stop defending this clown. He only stayed one more year in an attempt to control PR damage. He's gone, and this whole cycle is going to start again next season.
Unless Stan Van is gone and Phil comes in

Re: CONFIRMED: Van Gundy Says That Howard Asked Orlando Management To Fire Him

I think the Orlando franchise did more damage to their image than Dwight has done to his. He gave the franchise a chance to prove they were competent, and they are failing.

Dwight told management he wanted a trade, and the GM decided to make it public. Suppose Dwight did ask for SVG to be fired... Why do we know about this again? Dwight didnt tell us, David Pingalore did. SVG shouldve either already been fired, Dwight shouldve been traded, or management should have communicated better with all parties involved. The coach and the GM have been making digs at Dwight since summer, yet for some reason they refuse to trade their meal ticket. Their meal ticket wants changes because he doesn't think he can win here... And I clearly see why.

Rashard Lewis got $126 million. Is that Dwight's fault too? Dwight isn't out there tweeting that he wants a trade or wants his coach fired. Orlando management is gossiping this crap like a bunch of amateurs.

Re: CONFIRMED: Van Gundy Says That Howard Asked Orlando Management To Fire Him

I don't know how it is Dwight's fault at all?
1) He was probably asked by management if he wanted the coach as his coach and he said no.
I am sure that many STAR players have wanted their coach fired and have told management but it has never got out. Hell Cousins was able to get his coached fired apparently.......................
Management should not have told the coach and the coach should not have told the media. Just childish by Stan.
I mean is Howard meant to not give his opinion on how to make the team better especially after management was stupid enough to sign Lewis to $120+ million. Hell I am pretty confident Dwight could run the team better considering that contract alone.

2) His contract was coming to an end and he considered his future. He was pushed by the Magic to make a final decision before his contract ran out like everyone else considering another organization he considered it and the media made a huge deal about it. He decided to stay. Despite the incompetence of management.
I mean:
You sign Lewis is $120+ million.
Then you trade him for Arenas.
You overpay everyone except Howard and its Howard's fault?
I thought he was gone. I wouldve been gone. I mean how incompetent can a management team be and he stayed. Dwight should not have stayed.

And this is from someone who thinks Dwight is limited offensively and was not better than Yao 5 years back.

Exactly. There are some legitimate reasons to dislike Howard but this is not one of them.

Re: CONFIRMED: Van Gundy Says That Howard Asked Orlando Management To Fire Him

All of the blame became Dwight's after he waffled on his requests for the 2nd -20th times. Whenever a player demands a trade, it has always become public. Difference is, Dwight Howard is the one to fail so mightily and waffle every other day for a year and a half. All this is is an indictment of who Howard is. He is the guy with the thinnest skin in the NBA who can't hack adversity whatsoever.

We really don't know how word got around the organization and how Dwight's apparent request/desire was delivered to management, so I'm not gonna comment on that aspect of it, but irregardless Stan just opened a fresh ass wound that won't ever close again for what reason? And this is with whom they're supposed to place their faith?

Can't stop laughing at how smug Dwight is talking with the NEW YORK MEDIA when they've just got him nailed to a wall and he doesn't even know it.

"Well, I'm just tellin' you..."

Some of these guys think that because they're filthy rich and have four percent bodyfat that they're the smartest people in the room.

Also, someone needs to make a GIF and photoshop a troll face on Stan Van Gundy as he's walking off.

The thing about Van Gundy is that I think he's a sincerely good in game coach that lets other external flaws of his get in the way.

Skiles is like this too.

Would be a way better coach if they got out of their own way sometimes.

Absolutely. This needs to be done.

We need to have a professional BBF GIF'er on here. Last year I wanted somebody to put a GIF of Lebron James' head on the lead singer of The Verve in the Bitter Sweet Symphony video after bumbgate with Spoelstra, and nobody could.

It was a wasted opportunity that has now been lost due to lack of relevance.

What has Dwight said or done? You and the other butt hurt teenage message board girls get confused about what players actually say or do and what sports reporters "report".
