1. Let T Chandler go for nothing and Keep Haywood. Haywood is not a qualified nba player. Let's say Haywood is 5'11". I have better basketball skills than him.

2. Use TE to get Lamar Odom.

3. Let Barea and Stevenson go for nothing.

What else?

The mistakes won't be mistakes if we get Deron or maybe even Dwight

If we don't I'm going to be plenty upset we didn't defend our shit properly

And Odom wasn't really a mistake in the sense of something that cost us. It was a bonus type of move that didn't work out. I mean who else could we have got with that TPE? Stephen Jackson? Pass

It's not like he was torpedoing us on the court or he was a huge plan of what we were doing this year (taking a shot in the dark not tunnel visioned on the title for the first time in 10 years)...he didn't play...and he ended up leaving. OK, fine. We still have his contract to trade too if the right offer comes along.

True but Odom even after he is cut is still going to count like 2.4 million on the cap and if I am the Mavs I would have like to have had as much cap room as possible this summer.

It was the right decision. Even if they had the same exact team as last year with the same great chemistry they wouldn't have been as sucessful because a lot of key players are a year older and at some point age catches up with you. And let's face it, when you have been chasing a championship for as long as some of these guys have, you might not be quite as hungry anymore to get the last two or three percent out of yourself.

The alternative would have been to win a few more games during the regular season and maybe advance to the second round, but your leverage for the future would be gone. Besides the Haywood contract the team is set up pretty well to overhaul the team in the next few years which would have happened regardless of the outcome of last season or this season.

Thunder is too good this year. I don't think last year's Mavs team could've beaten this current Thunder team.

it also cost 'you' the top 20 protected 1st round pick that the lakers used to dump Fisher's salary and pick up Jordan Hill

Agreed. Westbrook and Harden maturing along with Ibaka and Perkins being healthy makes a huge difference.

Last year's Mavs would have given this year's Thunder a GREAT series. This year's Spurs, on the other hand, are the best team of the 3.

I got the Thunder in 6 if those 2 play each other. Spurs and Thunder that is.
