For all the talk about his talent nobody really talked about him....I mean this is only one video but he kind of looks like a clown here (and a steak to hood dudes watching this). I hate to be that guy but shit like this makes you wonder about a guy's priorities once he gets into the league.

Not to say this means he spends all his time "balling" or some shit but if you're not smart enough to not do this video what other bad decisions are you capable of

I know guys get their first check and get excited but you should never broadcast it, for more reasons than one

I didn't make it through that whole thing... he has a lot of time to grow up as a person off of the court... go back and watch your favorite NBA superstar get interviewed at 19 (if he was even in the spotlight at that point) and they likely sound pretty stupid.

Shit, listen to an interview with early Larry Bird. I guess the focus on the "lifestyle" might be concerning if people think he's not going to be dedicated to getting better at basketball... I just don't think you could fairly deduce that from a short video.

Nah it's not about how dumb or smart he sounds...for me if he's stupid enough to be trying to flex in a video like he's a rapper it's a character flaw, primarily because NBA players are targets, but also...of the stars that you could see doing something like this, putting a video of them "in the hood" on youtube (Iverson, Toine, Francis, Marbury, Melo) how many have achieved something in the NBA?


Not to say it's a 1+1=2 slippery slope (even though some retards will read it like that anyway) but you could hypothesize the same mindstate that makes flashing and being on front street cool isn't unrelated to the same thought process that leads to not prioritizing your basketball development. With a lot of guys like that actually making it to the league is the championship, and anything else is just a bonus. That's why you hear stuff about conditioning, dedication,clashing with teammates, all that shit.

And yes it's a short video but it's obviously him being him in the video. I mean it's not Brian Scalabrine doing a video in a Boston project as a joke and then going on about his life. You think this type of action stops when
the camera stops? That's the point. It's not a big deal at all unless his actions would make it a big deal some day, just saying it doesn't look good, that's all.

I mean a lot of the posters here that exaggerate because they lack reading comprehension and attention might have fun with this thread but it is what it is....Maybe I'm just more "into" this type of thing cause I grew up around a lot of scumbags but there's things you do and things you don't when you're a name.
