He backed out, apparently.

The Clippers announced Monday afternoon they have mutually agreed to end discussions and part ways with Olshey.

Olshey, now the Clippers’ former vice president of basketball operations, never signed a new contract with the Clippers.

Clippers President Andy Roeser has already begun the search for a general manger to succeed Olshey, the team said Monday.

The Clippers said Coach Vinny Del Negro, director of player personnel Gary Sacks and Roeser will handle all of team’s responsibilities in regard to basketball operations as the team looks for a new general manager.

Bledsoe might be worth more than the #11 at this point. If the Clippers offer that, I would accept in a heartbeat. Don't think they'll be doing that, though, now that the Blazers stole their GM.

Would the 6th pick be too much?

At either spot the Clippers would be able to get a much needed upgrade at the 2(Lamb, Ross, Rivers).

I really don't see how that deal does not happen it just makes too much sense meaning it probably won't happen.

Really? I mean, if Portland is looking for a point guard (and they are) at #11 they might not even have a shot at Lillard, and I don't know that Lillard will be any better than Bledsoe.

Bledsoe: Backup PG #2017 that dazzles in 10 minutes per games with zero responsibility to run an offense.

Not impressed with Bledsoe as a future high level starter.

Yeah, I don't get the hype on Bledsoe. I'll take my chances with Jones or Rivers or someone else in 6-11 range.

When he got a chance to play bledsoe really shines! He reminds me alot of Russell westbrook with better court vision. But I would keep bledsoe as s insurance policy if Paul leaves. We have cap space to sign a shooting guard like Gordon
