i feel like the lineup will be more lin/douglas since someone has to play the minutes martin/lamb parsons/white donatas/jones/patterson asik patterson regressed last year and morris was completely worthless. would be shocked if the two of them aren't passed up by all 3 rookie bigs in the rotation.

Re: The Summer League Thread
Maybe - but I think you are banking on the young guys a ton, and that doesnt normally work out too well in the short term. Which may be a good thing for you anyway, get a high pick next season to add to your capspace + young talent.
Wouldnt be surprised to see the new rookies take over more playing time than Patterson/Morris etc, but those guys hardly had much of a shot last season. I think Houston will give them a look to see if they have anything, but won't hesitate to send them to the end of the bench again.

Re: The Summer League Thread
Lillard has been the best rookie in the summer league.

Re: The Summer League Thread
^ This is true. Looks good off the pick and roll, creative.
I still see a little Jerryd Bayless in him. And I actually like Bayless, I think he could be a good player in this league. Lillard will be given a major role straight off the bat in Portland though, which is great for his development.

If I had to make a comparison I'd say Lillard reminds me of a mix between Arenas/Billups.

i don't think the rockets will make the playoffs next year, i just wouldn't be surprised if they are basically in the same spot they've been the last 3 seasons. they'll be somewhere in the 30 to maybe 45 win range as the absolute highest(obviously assuming the roster basically stays as is expected to start the year).

Re: The Summer League Thread
Rockets are too young. They might have young players that look promising but to play above your potential you need vets that don't make mistakes, that's why the former Rockets teams post Yao always give everyone a tough game, they knew what they were doing out there.

Re: The Summer League Thread
About $30 million. (Assuming that Orlando eventually sends him there.)

Re: The Summer League Thread
Lillard is a 4 year college guy with the ball in his hands all the time, he should look good in summer league. I was not real impressed watching him though.

Re: The Summer League Thread
Yeah, he's looked OK, but I'm not blown away by him. Wooten, on the other hand, has surprised me so far. I now find myself wishing that Boston had taken him rather than Sullinger.
