I will be honest - If Russell didn't have that one big "11" next to his name, if he was so much as single digits in titles won I'd probably put Tim Duncan ahead of him.

but it's like saying that if Shaq didn't have his 4 titles, he would be lower on the list.

Point valid... I simply believe that the magnitude of seeing the 11 there is worth more than his own contributions to the 11. 9 would still be spectacular, clearly more than anybody else - but factoring in that he's simply in double digits creates a sense of epic awe that transcends his own contributions.
