Re: Greatest players of all time (Number 7)
Shaq was outrebounded but he was still the only player who came close to showing up. 26 and 10 on 63%fg. Kobe was terrible.

Re: Greatest players of all time (Number 7)
when he got up the court but he was regulary beaten to both ends and was gassed half the time - Kobe did his solo act in games one and two and they went 1-1, PJ reined him in and he pretty much stopped being a factor nd the Lakers dropped 3 straight

Re: Greatest players of all time (Number 7)
He wasn't reigned in. He kept chucking. Only difference is that for 1 game he actually made some of his shots. Shaq couldn't do it alone.

Re: Greatest players of all time (Number 7)
You are trying to link Kobe's shot attempts with the one game they won. But he was still jacking shots when they lost. He didn't shoot a lot in game 3 but nobody did. It was a blowout. The problem was that he was missing shots.
Shaq played much better than Kobe in that series. Suggesting otherwise is just not true. And whether or not Kobe had the worst series, it was terrible.

Re: Greatest players of all time (Number 7)
Why are the same people that discount Shaq's loss to Hakeem in `94 pimping Hakeem's loss to the Celtics in the `80s?
Additionally: Who would I rather have take the final shot of the night? Hakeem. Easily. Who would I rather have for the entire ****ing game? SHAQ.

Oh - and whoever is voting Oscar has no clue. He has all of the insane temperamental issues Shaq had, and wasn't as dominant a title winning physical specimen. He was awesome - but c'mon.

Taking out the Lakers in 5 games. Why would you prefer to have Shaq? No doubt Shaq was the better offensive weapon but defensively you have to go with Hakeem surely. I will admit if playing a poor centre I would take Shaq he can score easily and not have to worry about defense. But against a quality centre (Kareem - Wilt - Russell - Ewing - D Rob) I would want Hakeem. He is less likely to make them hurt you back whether thats through ball denial or post defense.
