Re: Top 100 career earnings
Jordan also passed up mega-paydays from the Wizards. He was putting asses in the seats even as an old man but donated much of his salary and played for the vet minimum, I think.

I don't think anyone really blames Johnson. Its just that obviously no one views him as a "piece" to a contender when you factor in that abortion of a contract.

Re: Top 100 career earnings
Yeah, players tend to get "blamed" for being overpaid when they severely underproduce following a signing - IE: Rashard Lewis. Johnson hasn't played up to what he signed for, but its not like he's chopped liver. He's way overpaid, but get rid of the contract and his presence benefits many teams in the league at the 2-guard spot.

Re: Top 100 career earnings
Johnson has pretty much been a top 5 SG for a long time. The problem is that he's been paid like a top 5 overall player in the league.

Re: Top 100 career earnings
It pains me to read that Mutombo made so much more money than Olajuwon and Robinson, especially coming from relatively close eras.
EDIT: Added DRob to the sentence.
