Its like talking to the same brain dead idiots every single year. Last year was supposed to be a sweep according to many Miami fans. Chris Bosh wouldn't matter because Lebron and Wade were so super duper cool with their nerd glasses that the series would be a cake walk....... then reality hit and it wasn't.

I like speaking with adults on this website. But it seems that when it comes to Miami all I get is shit like this. Not once did I say Indiana would win the series. I said it would be an actual series. Not Miami murdering a JV ball team like I was told was going to happen last playoffs.
This doesn't make any damn sense at all. First off Bosh got injured during the first game of the series against the Pacers. So of course people had a different idea of what the outcome of the series was going to be and how it was going to happen.

Above all of that, now you're sitting here trying to tell us that Bosh being on the team wouldn't have made a difference?! In the two games that the Pacers won against Miami, Miami failed to score more than 80 points. Bosh being on the team would've made a big difference for Miami and, most likely, yes, they probably could've swept them. I don't think that would've happened, but it was definitely likely. It was only a close series because Bosh wasn't there, no sane person can deny that.

I could give you an infraction for your pointlessly inflammatory statements, but you've been down this road countless times before. Stop insulting posters. Just stop. It doesn't help your argument. It truly doesn't. No one spontaneously decides to agree with you based on your name calling. I promise. There's no logical reason for it. I can't speak for anyone else, but I personally lose respect for you every time you do it. That may not mean much to you, but then again, what does?

With that being said, you're wrong about this point. Bosh's absence was the main reason that series was so close last season. I watched every single possession of that series, and there were numerous times Miami's offense bogged down because they didn't have another dynamic player who could catch the ball at 17 feet and make a play (either knocking down the open jumper or driving). Miami is somewhere between 25% and 35% worse without Bosh. Even without him, the Heat shut down West and Hibbert is games 4 and 5 in the series. That was with under-sized Shane Battier guarding West. If you're worried about Anthony on Hibbert, don't be. Hibbert only had one really dominant game in that series anyway (Game 3). He was relatively limited in terms of production the rest of that series by Miami's mob of replacement-level bigs. Deal with it.

70% of the Heat's best game took Indiana down in 6. Indiana would be extremely fortunate to take a game off them this season if both teams are healthy.

100% True. Especially after Granger got cocky like and idiot acting like he's a superstar yelling in James' face and that other nobody who did that Choking sign with his hands around his neck, that's when things changed and Wade and Lebron were like "wait, the dudes are nobodies" and game 4, 5, and 6 was a Wade and Lebron onslaught. If Bosh was in the series, sweepity sweep.

I still think that Indy would have stolen a game even with a fully healthy Heat. Obviously it would have been a very different series though.

Heat may not have swept Indiana but to say that Bosh doesn't change the equation when those two teams play is non sense.

You are saying that a 7x all star would not change anything? That is ridiculous.

Indiana's one of those teams that can give anybody a hard time. As constructed I can't see them actually winning anything though.

Don't tell me what to do. You're right, I don't care about your opinion.

Also, don't come in here speaking about my opinion, and then pull some bullshit percentages and expect anyone to respect it.

"By my calculations the Heat are 28.3% less effective if Bosh is"..... let me cut you off there. Shut up.

Now, go hand me an infraction and we'll go down the same old road we always do. Why are you even bothering wasting both of our times? I'll post how I want, or I won't post. Its pretty damn simple, and my stance has never changed on the matter.

No real argument here. My argument was against the "Sweep! Heat are the greatest ever! YAY!" posters who seem to once again be saying its a cake walk to the finals.

It's anything but.

No one was saying that the Heat would sweep the Pacers if Bosh was playing for the team (except for Drizzay but we all know how high his IQ is), you just seemingly came the **** out of no where and went on the huge rant for no reason. No one is denying that the Pacers would probably get a win, our argument was against your claim that Bosh would not have made a difference if he did play against the Pacers in last years playoffs, which is an incredibly stupid claim.

Look at Bosh's stats against Indiana. He plays well under his season averages when he plays them.

Why? Because he can't play against Hibbert and West. Thats not some comment saying how amazing Hibbert and West are and how they're better. No. Bosh is a better talent than either. But the point is they play him amazingly well and shut him down. Against Indy he doesn't make a huge difference on either end of the court.

Re: Best rivalries heading into the season

Miami would have won in 4 or 5 with a healthy Bosh.

Orlando would have won in 4 with a healthy Howard. That playoff run is making the Pacers over-rated.

Isn't this like your first post since your Orlando guarantee last playoffs?

It's funny you think that anyone values your opinion.

Re: Best rivalries heading into the season

Pacers are always going to play to their competition's level because they're just a very complete basketball team. Physical, they rebound, they pass well, they know how to squeeze points out of bad possessions...that makes up for not having a top tier number one scorer.

I don't think anyone could sweep or 4-1 the team I saw last Spring.

Even if that is the case (which fortunately for you it is), just his presence alone makes it easier for Miami because they have another BIG scoring threat out there. When Bosh is out there, teams, including Indy, have to handle the way they try to cover Lebron and Wade. Bosh may not be at the level of Wade and Lebron, but just like them, when he catches fire, it's very difficult to stop him.

Basically what I'm saying is, without Bosh out there, it suddenly becomes a lot harder for Miami when it comes to properly executing their offense properly. Even if Bosh can't handle West and Hibbert on defense, he will still be a dangerous offensive threat just because of his ability to hit the jumper from anywhere in the mid range zone. Having someone like that out there can basically change your entire offense, which is one of the reasons as to why Bosh is so valuable.

Regardless that won't be as much of an issue anymore. Getting Ray Allen is actually a much bigger acquisition than people think. His offensive abilities will be huge for Miami, and Richard Lewis is also another solid pick up. Miami was already a deep team before this, but they will be very dangerous this year, so Bosh being injured will be a huge hit no doubt, but at least Miami will have some great offensive back up off the bench.

It's not fortunate for me, no. I noticed them shut down Bosh this year, and double checked the stats before posting. It was personal knowledge, not some blind stab in the dark.

And yes, Miamis bench is much improved. Who said otherwise?
