Above all of that, now you're sitting here trying to tell us that Bosh being on the team wouldn't have made a difference?! In the two games that the Pacers won against Miami, Miami failed to score more than 80 points. Bosh being on the team would've made a big difference for Miami and, most likely, yes, they probably could've swept them. I don't think that would've happened, but it was definitely likely. It was only a close series because Bosh wasn't there, no sane person can deny that.

With that being said, you're wrong about this point. Bosh's absence was the main reason that series was so close last season. I watched every single possession of that series, and there were numerous times Miami's offense bogged down because they didn't have another dynamic player who could catch the ball at 17 feet and make a play (either knocking down the open jumper or driving). Miami is somewhere between 25% and 35% worse without Bosh. Even without him, the Heat shut down West and Hibbert is games 4 and 5 in the series. That was with under-sized Shane Battier guarding West. If you're worried about Anthony on Hibbert, don't be. Hibbert only had one really dominant game in that series anyway (Game 3). He was relatively limited in terms of production the rest of that series by Miami's mob of replacement-level bigs. Deal with it. 70% of the Heat's best game took Indiana down in 6. Indiana would be extremely fortunate to take a game off them this season if both teams are healthy.

Re: Best rivalries heading into the season
I still think that Indy would have stolen a game even with a fully healthy Heat. Obviously it would have been a very different series though.

Also, don't come in here speaking about my opinion, and then pull some bullshit percentages and expect anyone to respect it. "By my calculations the Heat are 28.3% less effective if Bosh is"..... let me cut you off there. Shut up. Now, go hand me an infraction and we'll go down the same old road we always do. Why are you even bothering wasting both of our times? I'll post how I want, or I won't post. Its pretty damn simple, and my stance has never changed on the matter.

Re: Best rivalries heading into the season
No one was saying that the Heat would sweep the Pacers if Bosh was playing for the team (except for Drizzay but we all know how high his IQ is), you just seemingly came the **** out of no where and went on the huge rant for no reason. No one is denying that the Pacers would probably get a win, our argument was against your claim that Bosh would not have made a difference if he did play against the Pacers in last years playoffs, which is an incredibly stupid claim.

Why? Because he can't play against Hibbert and West. Thats not some comment saying how amazing Hibbert and West are and how they're better. No. Bosh is a better talent than either. But the point is they play him amazingly well and shut him down. Against Indy he doesn't make a huge difference on either end of the court.

Re: Best rivalries heading into the season
Miami would have won in 4 or 5 with a healthy Bosh.
Orlando would have won in 4 with a healthy Howard. That playoff run is making the Pacers over-rated. |

Re: Best rivalries heading into the season
Pacers are always going to play to their competition's level because they're just a very complete basketball team. Physical, they rebound, they pass well, they know how to squeeze points out of bad possessions...that makes up for not having a top tier number one scorer.
I don't think anyone could sweep or 4-1 the team I saw last Spring. |

Basically what I'm saying is, without Bosh out there, it suddenly becomes a lot harder for Miami when it comes to properly executing their offense properly. Even if Bosh can't handle West and Hibbert on defense, he will still be a dangerous offensive threat just because of his ability to hit the jumper from anywhere in the mid range zone. Having someone like that out there can basically change your entire offense, which is one of the reasons as to why Bosh is so valuable. Regardless that won't be as much of an issue anymore. Getting Ray Allen is actually a much bigger acquisition than people think. His offensive abilities will be huge for Miami, and Richard Lewis is also another solid pick up. Miami was already a deep team before this, but they will be very dangerous this year, so Bosh being injured will be a huge hit no doubt, but at least Miami will have some great offensive back up off the bench.
