My Visit To The Hall of Fame

Is tomorrow...hope to take a lot of photos and share them here.

I'm in Boston tonight. Never been here before...you learn something new every day.

I learned there is no ****ing parking in this city.

You should've told me, I'd've taken you out for the best Italian meal that money could buy. Just a warning, Springfield's a shithole, so be careful of your rental.

Yeah, it didn't even occur to me until this evening, I thought "shit!" Could have met EHM. I might be coming next year also with my kids, we can hook up then.

And it would have also saved me a lot of grief looking for parking. Was going to go to a place called "Neptune Oyster" I was really hankering for some of that famous Boston clam chowder, but the wait was 2 hours or more (after I finally snagged a parking spot). Finally ended up at a place called "Yankee Lobster" which was okay, but not that great.

As far Springfield, I am actually not staying there. I am staying in Albany that night...then on to Cooperstown, Toronto, and Canton, with a Bills/Browns game mixed in. All the Hall of Fames. I got the idea after I got basically laid off for the last two weeks of September. With all this free time, might as do what I had always planned for.

Re: My Visit To The Hall of Fame

The north end in Boston has some fantastic places to eat. I'm in CT, but my cousin lived there for the past several years until being transferred to New York this year and I visited him all the time. I miss having an excuse to get food there.

Re: My Visit To The Hall of Fame

I visited the HOF some time in the mid-00's. It was quite enjoyable, though I thought the whole experience was geared more towards kids than those who have a legitimate appreciation for the history of the game. I wouldn't know if Canton or Cooperstown are similar in that regard.

I spent 4 1/2 hours in it today, and it was well worth the trip. There was some kid stuff there, but most of it was definitely geared for adults. I did take about 40 photos, and will be sharing some on here when I have the opportunity to resize them (they are far too large for uploads, I took the photos with a Nikon D90 and still learning the camera).

****ing amazing. The top floor is all about the inductees. I spent almost 3 hours up there alone. Brought back a lot of memories...man I miss the '60s LOL.

Tomorrow is baseball. Ought to be awesome.

Because after sharing e-mails and PMs about one PauloCatarino for years, it would be nice to be face-to-face and discuss that particular poster in person.
