I really don't think calling it a Hoosiers experiment fits. They've got a lot of guys that take risks on the court, Schved is hardly a prototypical bounce-pass-chest-pass point guard. Love is probably the most fundamental guy on the court. Pekovic is a bruiser. Kirilenko is... well, he's got a giant ****ing dragon on his back. Not sure if that's significant, but shit: its weird. When they get Rubio back - he certainly isn't an Indiana fundamentals guy. He plays with some style, takes a lot of risks. Roy is the big question mark - if he's actually healthy and has a strong first step (that doesn't hurt to use) they're going to be dangerous come playoff time. - I could see them advancing and scoring an upset. Maybe two if Love learns to play defense and Kirilenko is really making an impact on that end as well.

A shit TON of maybes with this team.

Wait since when is moving the ball a lot a detriment. The Kings nearly won a title doing that...and you have to think they don't really have that many raw off the dribble creators...

James Jones won the 3 point contest in 2011. He's obviously a top ten SG/SF.

After Craig Hodges won the NBA All-Star Game Three-Point contest in Bird's absence, Hodges was asked if the victory was tainted because Bird hadn't participated. "He knows where he can find me," was Hodges retort. Told of Hodges' challenge, Bird replied, "Yeah, at the end of the Bulls bench."

While that quote makes me laugh, take a step back from it for a moment. Hodges won the 3-point contest, and when asked if his win was tainted because someone else was not there he basically said "Hey, if he's better than me he can come at me." - All that he's saying is "Look: I was the one in the contest. I won it. Plain and simple. He didn't. If he wants to prove he's better, he's welcome to it." - There was no insult in it, he threw out a challenge sure, but in the end Bird's insult was actually more deflecting a question he didn't want to answer than anything.

I will respond to you with another quote:

Bird wasnt a deflecting kind of guy - Hodges was beneath his notice and he said so

I think the Wolves will improve tremendously this season, but the 2nd best team in the East is going a bit far.

The Wolves potential opening day starting lineup will be Alexey Shved (6'6") at the point, Brandon Roy at the two, Andrei Kirilenko at the three, Kevin Love at the four, and Nikola Pekovic at center. That, on paper, is a pretty formidable lineup.

Roy is an excellent player in summer. Rubio will be back soon.
My PG has a busted knee, don't know when he'll be back.

My SG has no cartilage in any knee, don't know if he can play a full game

My SF's last few season were so he had to play elsewhere to remember what to do. Now he's older with no guarantee of being any better.

My C is physical but, can't block a shot. My PF can't block a shot either so basically my front line can't scare anyone nor stop anyone.

Very formidable indeed !

That was a horrible attempt to deteriorate my argument. First off SG/SF and PF/C are two completely different things. Second, being able to shoot the three isn't the only thing Kevin Love can do, and third, THAT WAS A FLUKE AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT.

I'm going to need to see Kevin Love play in the post season before I call him the best anything.
