Re: What will these guys be remembered as?
No way in hell. Kidd's best years were as a Mav? That was his worst stints as a pro so far.

Re: What will these guys be remembered as?
Shaq - LAKER
Kevin Garnett - CELTIC Tracy Mcgrady - MAGIC Ray Allen - CELTIC Steve Nash - SUN Jason Kidd - NET Grant Hill - SUN Dikembe Mutumbo - HAWK Typing all of those team names, in a singular form as in "Grant Hill is a Sun" makes me realize even more how awkward team names like "Magic" and "Heat" are. Lebron James is a Heat? Tracy McGrady is a Magic? Dislike. Anyway - I went mostly by where the player left his most recent and enduring memories. For example: Grant Hill? He's a former Piston superstar, and only a role playing Sun... but really? His years as a role playing Sun have drowned out the memories of him as a Piston great. With Jason Kidd - his years as a facilitating super-role-player on the Mavs at the point were too brief to overcome the long impact he had as a Hall of Famer with the Nets. Dikembe Mutombo, to me, will always be a Hawk because of the year he basically decimated the Grant Hill Pistons in the first round, I believe putting the final stamp on Hill's time as a healthy Piston (where he never won a playoff series).

Re: What will these guys be remembered as?
crabs.
Anyways this is just kind of indicative of free agency and player movement coming to the forefront There are a couple people (Wilt, Kareem, Doctor J, DJ) that have multiple legacies, but for the most part everybody in previous generations stayed put. Now that's just not likely...the time for the one team star is probably over. I don't place much stock in this anyway, it's all about them as players. You'll probably see them on highlight reels at their peaks/where they won their titles . When I think of Kidd I think of taking it to the Spurs and turning around that Nets squad, I think of Vince as Vinsanity, Shaq and LA, it's really not that much grey area tbh. |

Re: What will these guys be remembered as?
Shaq - Lakers;
Kevin Garnett - Wolves; Tracy Mcgrady - Magic and 1st round exits; Ray Allen - journeyman douchebag; Steve Nash - Suns; Jason Kidd - Nets; Grant Hill - Pistons; Dikembe Mutumbo - Nuggets. Just my 2cents...
