San Antonio: Year after Year...
I'm curious - I'm not old enough to remember much beyond the `90s but has any team ever staved off that yearly cry of "Oh this is the year they're done. Too old." this many times? They're far from brushing aside any cynics at this point, obviously. But it seems like it has been at least half a decade since the cries started coming up that they were aging too quickly, and their championship window is gone. Last year they're two wins from the finals, and they're hot out of the gates this year...

There's a lot of truth in this, but at a certain point the gravy train has to come to an end. Sports journalists love to speculate on something that doesn't exist. So, this topic particularly has been addressed and argued and claimed to no end when it probably wasn't true. However, at this point I do in fact think the Spurs have "jumped the shark", at least when it comes to the Tim Duncan era. It's a lot more difficult for a big man to carry the physical poise/shear dominance needed to chase a chip as the years pile on.

Hence the development of their young guys. Hell, look at Tony and Manu as the earliest examples - I'd be willing to bet that they wouldn't have been half the players they are today without the Spurs' structure and Duncan's leadership. Especially Parker.

But I do agree that they won't win another title. They'll just be really good until they decide to completely break it down.

They move the ball so well, year after year. Popovich is such a good coach.
On the flip side, look at the Lakers' ball movement. SMH @ Mike Brown.
