Re: ESPN: Mike Brown Fired
They've done it in hockey before. Would be neat to see it in the NBA. 2 legit head coaches on one squad.

Would be interesting to see what Kobe's role would be in a D'Antoni system, though. We know Melo flopped in it. |

Re: ESPN: Mike Brown Fired
Because the Lakers offense weren't their only problem, they were also horribly inconsistent on defense. You think bringing in D'Antoni will help solve that problem?

Re: ESPN: Mike Brown Fired
You would think.
I'd be highly surprised if they didn't have their guy lined up prior to firing the current coach. Pretty sure this is just Lakers management going through the motions to make things look official and not be too disrespectful to Brown.

Re: ESPN: Mike Brown Fired
Yeah, I mean I thought this was pretty obvious. One of my first thoughts upon hearing about the Dwight trade was "Phil will be back this season"

Re: ESPN: Mike Brown Fired
Rather ppl like or dont like the offensive style of brown, it was clearly a disgusting move to fire mike brown after a 5 game season. This shows the lakers management have no class.
