I dont think Irving can overcome being in cleveland - maybe when he comes to the Lakers in a couple seasons his outlook will change

I'm so mad because I can't really argue that there's no way he'll go.

I mean hey, Nash and possibly Kobe will be gone, Gasol will be on the downswing, and its the Lakers, so why no just gift them a star. Its what happens.

He's NOT a pass first pg though and I'm shocked you would argue otherwise. I didn't say CP wasn't an elite penetrator (still). Just that he picks his spot and is just as likely to nail a step back j or teardrop. Lillard doesn't have that kind of change of pace.

Lillard is a nice player, but doesn't have elite potential in my opinion. It'll be Irving or Rose.

Rose is the best point guard alive and if he comes back healthy it will probably be him. Paul, if he can stay healthy, and Irving/Rubio will probably be in the conversation. Maybe Westbrook too.

he's on a rookie contract, it's up in 3 years (assuming they exercise their 1 year option) and then what?

They can match any offer he gets as an RFA, but as I indicated I doubt there's any chance he even reaches restricted free agency. I expect that he'll sign that early over-max extension and pocket the money. So he won't hit unrestricted free agency until after his 7th or 8th year. Which, re-reading the thread, was Memphis' point. In five or six years Superman won't be.

Its easy to put up numbers on a bad team. I like guys with playoff experience.

I pick Jrue Holiday or Eric Bledsoe. Jrue is so much younger and already in control of the team. Clippers have to make a decision on Bledsoe and some team may want to pay him more.

Funny how John Wall is no where on the list ?? LOL
