Looks like I'm the first Pistons fan to weigh in... and maybe because the answer is fairly obvious: Greg Monroe. Greg Monroe is a polished offensive player, that is only getting better, and is becoming (slightly) less of a liability defensively. Though, he still is a bit of a liability. He gets a very workmanlike 9+ boards per night, 10+ since the Pistons started coming together over the past 7 (4-3). He doesn't get rebounds out of his area, he doesn't go up over guys to get them. He simply uses good positioning and gets his. Clearly the best player on the team right now.

Hopefully something that'll change in the nearish future. Andre Drummond, every night, makes 3-4 plays that no other Piston could make. Getting out on the break athletically and powering home a rattling dunk in traffic, rebounds no one else on the team could get to, blocks no one else could make. He's far from polished, as far from Monroe as one can get on the offensive end. But man... he dunks everything in sight, plays with energy and hustle, makes positive things happen (had a great steal against the Raptors that almost directly led to the win). If he cuts his fouls per minute and develops some offensive post game - he will quite clearly be the Pistons best player, sooner than some people think.

Kyrie Irving, as if there were any question. Anderson Varejao has proven himself to be a potential all star but Irving gets the nod, easily one of the best scoring pg's we've seen in a long time, the rate he scores at this age is incredible. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of player he progresses into.

Going from Lebron to Kyrie...despite the lack of a title and The Decision I don't think Cleveland fans can really complain about the 03-15 era of Cleveland basketball too much. Put the right guys around Irving and he could be a championship guard. They didn't win one before Lebron, but if they win one in the next 5 or 6, Dan Gilberts baby tantrum rant looks far less irksome.

Suns - Goran Dragic. So far he has proven that he is a good starter and one of the better defensive PGs in the league.. If he is our #1 guy we aren't winning anything, but you can definitely win with him as your starting PG and heavy contributor.
