Re: Today's Game Discussion [11/28/12]
I'm done when you call Wade hurting Rondo's arm a "blatant" take down. He was posting him up and Rondo flopped. Get the hell out of here with that nonsense. The only thing you mentioned that was dirty was the check on Collison. The Kobe thing was trying to wrap him up. You're nuts.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [11/28/12]
Rondo flopped? Are we talking about the same play? Wade gets knocked down, and on his way down he grabs Rondo's hip, swings his leg behind Rondo and into his calves, and then sits up and stares him down. Sorry to point out that your hero's as dirty a player as the guys you don't like, but Wade's as bad as anyone in the league.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [11/28/12]
My hero? Didn't I say earlier in the thread he can be a bitch sometimes? You're not helping your cause.
He didn't even look at him after getting up. Upon watching it again, you're right about one thing. I remembered it a bit differently, Wade does fall first and pull him down. It does look like he used his leg to sweep him, but it could just as easily be due to slipping. No way of knowing. Of course one crowd will interpret it one way and another will the other. But to say he stared him down afterwards is just writing fiction. Also, you're playing the result. It's not like he was trying to hurt his arm. Bringing up that play is irrelevant anyway. I was talking about Rondo's clothesline and Humphries benign foul. Focus. Nice try, though.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [11/28/12]
I'm not playing the result, it was really dangerous regardless of the outcome, just like hockey-checking Collison was really dangerous(and why Jason Smith got suspended for the exact same play). I don't ever embed videos, so this may not work, but you can't watch the replay and come away thinking the tackle was anything but intentional.
EDIT: F it, I can't figure out embedding, but here's a better look. http://youtu.be/0faOE7ng0jg Last edited by Bogg; 11-29-2012 at 06:02 PM. |

Re: Today's Game Discussion [11/28/12]
We can agree to disagree, but my discussion was based around Rondo and Doc acting like his clothesline-pull-down wasn't a clear flagrant/dirty play, and later freaking out over Humphries' barely-more-than-innocuous contact on KG, your description of which seems pretty exaggerated. Watch the replay around 40 seconds in.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [11/28/12]
Laughable that flopping can possibly land you a 1 game suspension while starting a brawl that flows into the stands nets 2 games. The inconsistency regarding penalties in the league is still a joke
